The tax holiday was announced in the Union Budget 2026–27, presented by the Government of India on 1 February 2026. The announcement provides long-term policy clarity and incentives for cloud providers investing in Indian infrastructure. The tax holiday for cloud services announced in the Union Budget 2026–27 is applicable up to FY 2046–47, which means till 31 March 2047.
