Data Leakage in Physical Documents

This image highlights a serious case of data leakage through improper disposal of sensitive documents. The discarded paper contains personally identifiable information (PII) such as names, locations, and financial details. Even though some data is partially crossed out, it remains readable and exposed. Such incidents can lead to: Identity theft Financial fraud Privacy violations Regulatory non-compliance (GDPR / DPDP) Key Lesson: Data leakage is not limited to digital systems. Physical data must be securely destroyed using shredding or certified disposal methods to prevent unauthorized access.
